Mahi-Mahi Tacos in 10 Steps

Mahi-Mahi is such a delicate and delicious fish that you do not want to overpower it with strong flavors. These tacos are very quick and easy to make, and in the words of my toddler they taste "extremely delicious". Without further adieu let's get started.

Ingredients:
Fish
8 ounce of mahi-mahi
5 cloves of garlic (crushed)
Juice of 2 limes
1/8 cup of olive oil
4 green onions (sliced)
1/4 cup of chopped cilantro
1 jalapeno sliced (seed and membrane removed)
1 teaspoon of sea salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
3 tablespoons of oil for frying the fish.
Garnish
Guacamole (homemade)
Salsa (using Sprouts Organic Salsa)
Sliced Cabbage combine with Cilantro
Tortillas (using flour)

Step 1: Wash the fish, and using a paper towel pat it dry. In a flat dish, combine crushed garlic, juice of limes, olive oil, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro, sliced jalapeno, and salt and pepper.

Step 2: Gently rub the marinade over the fish, making sure the pieces are nicely coated. Cover and and place it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Step 3: Heat a pan over moderately high heat. The fish would stick to a cold pan.

Step 4: Once the pan is nice and hot, add oil.

Step 5: Place the fish, skin down, on the pan. Pour over the remaining marinade. Cook for 6 minutes or until the skin is golden.

Keep spooning the oil over the fish pieces.

Step 6: Flip the fish pieces and cook for 4 minutes. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fish.

The fish is ready.

Now let's assemble the tacos.

Step 7: Cut the fish into small pieces, inspecting for any bones. Place the pieces on a tortilla.

Step 8: Place guacamole next to the fish pieces.

Step 9: Put some salsa over the fish.

Step 10: Garnish with sliced cabbage and cilantro.

Roll and serve.
